Overview
As a copy editor, you are in charge of ensuring accuracy in grammar structure, language, and overall content. Through intensive quality checking, copy editors adhere to the standards set forth for the content to reach and resonate with its target audience.
Job Description:
- Perform quality assurance/quality checking, editing, and proofreading of content
- Double-check all information and details in the content copy to ensure data accuracy
- Check syntax construction, grammar, and/or spelling mistakes, and correct them accordingly
- Provide constructive feedback to writers to help them learn and improve their writing style
- Assist writers to meet their deadlines consistently and deliver projects to the clients in accordance with their specifications
Qualifications:
- At least two (2) years of work experience in proofreading and editing various writing materials
- Vast background in writing resumes for all levels of employment, from entry-level applicants to C-level executives
- Utilize strong communication skills in working closely with customers by phone and email to extract important details
- Familiarity with the latest writing trends and technologies
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum to no supervision
